Manpower are pleased to offer a unique opportunity within a key contract for a global leader in IT Solution and Services located in Erskine Scotland. The successful applicant would be part of a compact team of skilled professionals who are responsible for the process lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of IT products. The operation exists to service an Asset Management business.

The successful applicant would be part of a compact team of skilled professionals who are responsible for the process lifecycle of a diverse portfolio IT products. The Operation exists to service an Asset Management business, covering both Lease Returns and IT Asset Lifecycle Solutions. Any applicant should be an industrious self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task within a challenging environment. Excellent social skills are a must as the existing co-workers are a highly effective integrated group. The opportunity is perfect for an individual with a genuine deep rooted passion for hardware.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the sanitisation and testing strategies for both inbound and outbound processing
  • Support the introduction and lifecycle of assigned product sets
  • Development of automation/lower-touch strategies where such opportunities exist
  • Support presales activities for assigned product sets
  • Support the resolution of customer issues developing strategies to mitigate immediate and long term impacts
  • Through data analysis monitor, evaluate and report historical performance
  • Support the business in its strategic outcomes in terms of revenue generation, growth and sustainability
  • For assigned responsibilities ensure that the process documentation maintains business required accreditations
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and participation in the appropriate HPE internal accreditation programs
  • Escalate and liaise with Corporate engineering on issues affecting production
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members

Preferred knowledge and skills required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing or service environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware architectures
  • Knowledge of common industry data sanitisation techniques and applicable standards
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate challenges, statuses, analysis results, and appropriate solutions where possible

Other beneficial knowledge and skills:

  • Specific experience with HPE products
  • Experience of any of the following operating environments - Linux, HP-UX or OpenVMS
  • Scripting ability to aid task simplification and automation
