About the Role
Here at Babcock International we're looking for a Rigger Mechanic / Technician to assist our growing rigging team based at Woofferton, Shropshire.

As a Rigger Mechanic / Technician you'll join a small but highly effective team where the highest of standards will be expected from you from both a technical and behavioural perspective. You'll draw upon your significant knowledge and experience of the Working at Height industry to engage in all working at height activity, ground maintenance and electrical testing across the site.

If you have a head for heights, a positive can do attitude and can make a difference in helping us grow the rigging team then this could be the position for you. There will also be an opportunity to work overseas and at other UK sites, as and when required.

What do I need to bring to the role?
You'll bring big ideas, the ability to think outside the box and the ability solve complex problems with simple and elegant solutions. You'll be a proactive team player; self-motivated, willing to take on new challenges and adapt to changing business needs. You'll take responsibility for your part in making a difference; championing high performance, challenging the status quo and speaking up when we need to do better.

You'll have technical qualifications in Electrical, Antenna Systems and the maintenance of structures. You'll also have the ability to interpret technical drawings and be experienced in the use of power tools, including industrial winches

We would also like you to have the completed the following courses:

  • Advanced climber
  • Tower Rescue
  • IOSH Working Safety
  • EFAW
  • PAT Testing
  • RF Awareness
