Java Solution Architect

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect with Java to join our team in Dublin to work with a banking client of ours for ongoing long term projects.

We are looking for someone who is technically savvy with a background in consulting, architecture and software development, building client relationships, customer engagement and stakeholder management.

The role will initially be remote home working probably until the client returns it's employees back to work early next year. The client office is based in South Dublin.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*Design large-scale solutions using one or more technology stacks in the banks digitalization projects
*Document solution architecture on a good level with deep technical details
*Work closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements to the solution
*Directly communicate with customers during solution architecture design or solution implementation activities
*Drive all technical aspects, provide justification for any architectural decision
*Participate in the creation and maintenance of client architectural roadmaps
*Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities, solution architecture reviews and architecture audits
*Maintain a strong understanding of technology trends and engineering practices
*Participate and lead some of the engineering community inside the business
*Act as a thought leader

REQUIREMENTS
*Strong industry experience in Solution Architect/Technical Lead role
*Strong experience of designing and hands-on development of web services and applications in Java
*Strong experience of working with relational and non-relational databases
*Good experience development for clouds (Amazon, Azure or GCP)
*Experience with distributed systems, SOA or microservices
*Good understanding of architectural theory, practices and approaches
*Good understanding of Agile software development life-cycle, approaches and methods (SCRUM, XP, etc)
*Experience in front-end technologies - React JS and React Native
*It is a bonus if you have experience with other languages: Scala, Kotlin, Groovy, Go, Python
*Experience in financial service and retail banking is attractive
*Strong communication skills with experience in working with internal as well as external stakeholders/technical teams
*BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant work experience
