About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Driver.
You'll be responsible for providing a transport service, which includes driving a variety of military and civilian vehicles, on and off road.
Your main tasks will consist of supporting the Royal Engineers, transporting people/explosives/equipment out to training areas, waiting for their training to finish and returning them back. The vehicles will include military trucks, coaches and minibuses.
You'll have the opportunity to drive a variety of vehicles in interesting environment, be involved with tactical work and there also won't be any long haul driving involved.
* To drive any one of the multi-disciplined vehicles including the PSV & LGV fleet
* Complete Before, During and After Use Checks
* Perform Level 1 maintenance tasks
* Complete department administrative tasks when required
* Deal with the day to day customer queries in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner
What do I need to do the role?
You must have Cat C license as a minimum but we would prefer Cat C & Cat D.
It is important that you are happy to be flexible with hours and work some overtime and night shifts.
What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
