An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading utilities supplier as an Administrator Assistant, our client is currently seeking a Drawings/Autocad Data Capture Technician based out of our Nottingham site. This a full-time temporary contract for 12months, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week paying in the region of £23,453 - £25,000. You will need a clean driving license, as you will be supplied with a company van to carry out the role. For this role training will be supplied.

Job Purpose

Accurately capture asset data using a combination of paper-based mapping and tablets with ESRI / Acumen software and support the Design Lead in managing a mains replacement of works.

Technical Operations

· Liaise with designers to ensure all information within project packs for each street is complete and accurate on a weekly basis

· Undertake regular site visits to ensure project packs are a true reflection of the actual site works

· Create Project Construction Drawings and supporting documents - As Laid/Abandon Drawings/Spans

· Support the site manager in accurately recording asset errors as per the DR4 process and provide all supporting information

· Liaise with the Engineering Design Lead to define the type of data and data fields to be captured

· Identify asset types and dimensions and record them accurately, onsite.

· Support the Engineering Design Lead in ensuring that deviations/deltas from the planned programme of works are managed in accordance with the weekly track sheet process; ensuring all DR4's and/or Design Amendment Forms are in place when required

· Support the Data Assurance team in resolving queries or rejections in a timely manner to ensure accurate and timely asset data updates

· Ensures the asset database is maintained and managed appropriately

Health and Safety and Compliance

· Reports any incidents and/or accidents whilst on site

· Completing all relevant compliance documentation, including compliance with DR23

· Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures

Leads by example when undertaking site activities

Knowledge and experience

· Understanding of ESRI and SAP Data Capture Systems/ ESRI Collector Systems / Acumen

· Knowledge of working within an integrated team comprising of permanent and contract supplier organisations

· Good data analysis techniques / data integrity techniques

· Good attention to detail / Good numerical skills

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills

· Working knowledge of MS Office products and creation of Excel Spreadsheets

· Educated to HNC Level or demonstrable experience

· Utility Gas Safety Passport

· Gas safety training

· Valid clean UK Driving License
