Maintenance Engineer.

  • Would also suit a new graduate or recently qualified apprentice.

£18,000 - £22,000 (pro rata).

Shropshire (A49 area).

At the forefront of their industry, my client is a provider of trusted measurements and workflow solutions that enable the world's analytical, research and diagnostics laboratories to improve the quality of life for us all. They are a keyworker business and are involved in the manufacture of the Coronavirus antibody test, alongside a wide range of projects.

Due to a curve of growth within the organisation, an opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join the maintenance team, to take on the role of Manufacturing Technician, for a period of 4-6 months. Does this sound like the type of opportunity that will provide you with a new challenge and quickly enable you to diversify your skills and experience?

For this new position, we are looking with someone with maintenance experience, who is eager to learn and has an interest in the repair and maintenance of laboratory and large-scale, industrial equipment. In an ideal world, you will be a mechanically-biased engineer. However, we are open to reviewing applicants from people from a number of disciplines, including new mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering graduates and recently qualified apprentices.

This a varied, hands-on role that will include the following:

  • Determining and developing approaches to manufacturing assignments and processes.
  • Technical duties requiring good planning and judgement.
  • Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.

My client is offering a salary of £18,000 - £22,000, dependent on experience. They are located in the idyllic Shropshire and are within realistic commutable distance from Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and the surrounding areas.
