We have an immediate, full time position available for a Funeral Arranger, an essential keyworker for the last line of care.

As a Funeral Arranger, your role is predominantly client facing, providing the first point of contact for bereaved family and friends.  You will work in the office, holding excellent customer service skills as you support with the arranging of a funeral, acting with empathy and compassion at all times. Travel may be required to other branches.

What you’ll need to do:

  • Taking initial enquires from clients, taking a full brief of the families wishes and establishing rapport with the family
  • Organise all aspects of the funeral, from ordering flowers to booking service sheets,  arranging ministers, locations etc
  • Escort families to the chapel of rest and be present for the visits
  • Remain the point of contact with families ensuring the funeral director is aware of the families wishes in preparation of the day of the funeral
  • Travel between sites to support as and where required, driving licence is essential

What we’ll need from you:

  • Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, both in person and remotely
  • Comfortable in the environment of preparation and being present in the Chapel of Rest during family visits
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Supply the necessary documentation for a full DBS check
