My client is a market leader within the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors in Ireland, UK and Europe. They are a specialist supplier of leading healthcare solutions, medical devices, equipment and consumables.
They are now looking to hire an experienced Field Service Engineer
Working with clinicians, professional practitioners, patients and other clients within the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology industry, this exciting new role will see the successful field service engineer call medical facilities across Leinster and Munster regions.
The Field Service Engineer is based out of their own home and can be located anywhere in Dublin, Leinster, Munster area.
Salary: €40K - €55K, depending on experience. Benefits include an annual bonus, pension, life insurance company vehicle, laptop and a phone.
*The Service Engineer will be responsible for Equipment Service of a designated range of Equipment. The portfolio covers Autoclaves, Centrifuges, Incubators, CO2 Incubators, Freezers, Refrigerators, Ultra Low Temperature Freezers, Laminar Flow Equipment and a range of other miscellaneous equipment.
*The Service Engineers will perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, performance verification and troubleshooting on customer sites.
*Execution of IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols where required.
*Repairs where appropriate at the Company headquarters
*Safety is of vital importance to our Customers and it is essential that all service will be carried out with the utmost care and all Instrumentation is left in a safe operating condition for the Customer
*Service reports on work completed will be prepared for customer sign off onsite and returned to the Service Co Ordinator
*There may be a requirement for a telephone backup within the role where assistance and troubleshooting is provided to the Customer
*Onsite customer training in applications, service and operation where applicable will be provided to the Customer
*The candidate will have at least one-year post qualification experience of working in Industry and ideally the Life Sciences Industry.
*A background in biomedical engineering qualification, electrical, electronic, mechanical or other with medical / healthcare / medical industry experience.
*Knowledge of mechanical and electrical fault finding.
*Validation experience is a plus
*Experience in a field-based role
*Very good written and verbal communication skills.
