My Client has been established over 40 years a s market leader in GRP (Glass Reinforced Polymer) enclosures of all descriptions, supplying bespoke solutions to customers across the UK. As they are a growing business, we are now looking for a Production Manager, preferably with a technical knowledge of the GRP or similar production process.

What will your day look like?

  • Planning & monitor of schedules, working in conjunction with production director to achieve customer delivery requirements. ·
  • Monitor weekly KPI's. ·
  • Liaise with purchasing & technical departments, making sure all raw materials are in stock for upcoming works. ·
  • Regular communications with technical department, making sure all required cutting lists are completed and ready for manufacture. ·
  • Carry out non-conformance reports/investigations as per company ISO9001 procedures. ·
  • Ensure all works being carried out adhere to company H&S policies. ·
  • Carry out toolbox talks & participate in monthly H&S meetings/H&S tours ·
  • Ensure that your Team deliver a high standard of housekeeping across production areas. ·
  • Ensure plant & equipment is kept in good working order with regular maintenance checks ·
  • Oversee HR on teams, including holidays, back to work interviews and disciplinary meetings.
  • Personal Requirements: Communication skills with people internally and externally to the business Able to work in a team environment Organisational skills Ability to read, interpret and scrutinise plans to ensure best fit solution.
  • Understand instructions Planning and prioritising skills to meet deadlines

What do you need to be successful in your application?

  • Experience of managing the production process from end to end following lean manufacturing principles
  • Technical knowledge of the GRP or similar product
  • IOSH or NEBOSH E
  • Experience of creating & delivering SOP's, training & Quality Assessment of all finished products

This is a permanent role, with immediate availability, working hours are 7.30 /16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30/1400 on a Friday.
