Job Details

Our client, one of the UK's leading energy providers, is looking for an Administrator / Document Controller to support Project Managers on-site as well as providing mobile support. The role is based at a Nuclear Power Station near Bridgwater.
The role is either to be offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) or part-time basis (24-37 hours per week) depending on the successful candidate's preference. The actual working pattern can be negotiated with the hiring manager.
Main responsibilities:
*Utilise control document management system (CDMS).
*Set-up and maintain document registers including transmittal systems and databases.
*Administer and maintain key project documents.
*Collate case history documentation for lifetime records and enter into the system.
*Conduct safety walks and task observations.
*Track document changes and chase approval from relevant station groups/authorisers and through action tracking report status.
*Working closely with the project team, assist in the verification of drawing and document mark ups.
*Generate project status and progress reports.
*Maintain and track close-out requirements for ongoing Projects.
*To lead and manage the intranet site.
Skills and Experience required:
*Good organisational skills.
*Team player and willingness to accept responsibility for key tasks.
*Understanding the needs of quality and the approval process in a documentation environment.
*Good communication skills and a pro-active attitude in a task based environment.
*Able to process large volumes of data whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.
*Working knowledge in the use of packages such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
*Familiarity with the use of Databases and Spreadsheets for documentation logging, control and reporting would be desirable.
