Handyman (multi-skilled)
West Midlands area
My Birmingham based client is looking for qualified tradespeople to work for them on a Self-Employed Sub Contractor basis.
If you are a qualified electrician who can also carry out plumbing fit outs and repairs, or a qualified domestic gas engineer with electrical qualifications and plumbing skills then this could be a good fit.
You will need to have a background in at least two of the following areas
- Domestic Electrical installation and repair (qualified)
- Heating (qualified)
- Plumbing
- Housing repairs
- Facilities management (domestic)
- Painting and Decorating
You will largely be visiting privately rented domestic properties, or some commercial site. Due to the nature of the work, there will need to be flexibility on start and finish times from your side, as you know some jobs are destined to run over or start early! You will be paid a very competitive hourly or day rate though, in line with (or higher than) many companies in the FM space.
As a self-employed handyperson / tradesperson / maintenance engineer/ facilities engineer then you probably have your own van and tools, which is perfect for this role. You will be supplied with branded clothing to wear when visiting properties.
If you aren't qualified in electrics, but are skilled in any of the other trades, please don't be put off from applying, as I work with other companies who are always looking for great staff. Likewise if you are looking for a permanent job, please apply, as I work on permanent roles with other clients too.
