Gritter Drivers

On behalf of the DFI, Manpower Recruitment are recruiting Class 2/Gritter Drivers for immediate starts. These roles will last until the end of the gritting season which is mid April.

Drivers required in Magherafelt, Ballymena and Larne.

Main Duties:

To work on an "on call" basis. When weather conditions require the roads to be gritted;

To grit the roads as per routes you will be trained on;

Drive vehicles safely;

Adhere to health and safety guidelines;

Clean vehicle at the end of each shift;

All other duties as required.

Hours of work will be as follows:

Week One - on call for AM shift. Midnight to Midday

Week Two - on call for PM shift. Midday to Midnight

Week Three - Rest week.

You will be paid a weekly allowance of £81.85 on the weeks you are on call. Hourly rate will range between £9.29ph and £21.50ph depending on the hours you are required to work.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
