About the role
The Warship Project Scheduler role offers an exciting opportunity to join this thriving and dynamic Business Unit. The Warship Support Business Unit, based in Devonport, Plymouth, is continuously growing to support navies worldwide. In line with the increasing work load and the ever pertinent aspiration to drive greater rigour and consistency within our project controls domain, we are seeking to increase our planning capability by appointing a Project Scheduler to support the holistic planning process and the scheduling of increasingly complex Upkeep projects.

The Project Scheduler will support the Senior Project Scheduler with the planning of Upkeep projects. This includes supporting the high level planning process through to building the project schedule. The Project Scheduler will support the ongoing schedule analysis and maintenance throughout the life cycle of the project.

Other duties will include:

*To maintain and monitor project schedules for Surface Ship Upkeep projects, updating the plans on a regular basis to ensure a means of controlling the project.
*To assist the Senior Project Scheduler in discussions with Production groups to ensure that logical sequencing of scheduled activities is maintained.
*To record project progress, actual 'activity start' and 'finish' times on the Primavera P6 plan and document any supporting information.
*To contribute to production progress reporting by compiling and presenting data extracted from Primavera P6 as required by the Project Manager / Senior Management

What do I need to do the role?
*Demonstrable experience of scheduling projects in a project management environment.
*An awareness of scheduling software such as MS Project or P6
*Qualifications at ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent at minimum.
*Relevant and applicable technical experience in project management / planning (desirable).
