Refrigeration & Facilities Engineer - Fife - £35,000

Manpower are working in partnership with one of the leading traditional bakeries in Scotland to recruit a Refrigeration & Facilities Engineer. The company has been established since the 1950s and prides itself in delighting customers with their range of baked goods, all of which are freshly made in the bakery and delivered to shops daily.

The Refrigeration & Facilities Engineer is full time (39hrs) and will be based in Fife, Scotland. You will be required to work flexible hours with a 5 from 7 shift pattern, this can include weekend, evening work and rostered call out as required. Please only apply if you can commit to this.

The Role

  • Maintenance & inspection of facilities and refrigeration, including plumbing, lighting, and air systems.
  • Electrical fault finding, small installations, small plumbing, joinery, and asset repairs.
  • Carry out PAT, Fire alarm and emergency lighting testing.
  • Scheduling and completing routine maintenance around any emergencies and urgent repairs.
  • Update and maintain CMMS / Complete reports, and small work tenders as required
  • Ensure all statutory documents are updated and visible where required.

The Person

Positive, motivated & friendly / Team player with lots of drive / Open, honest & flexible / Able to show initiative

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, experience, skills and attributes

  • City and Guilds Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • City and Guilds F Gas qualification
  • You need a full driving licence (3 points or less)

A proven track record in the following areas is essential

  • Happy to travel across Scotland providing facilities support.
  • Microsoft Office skills for data input, reports and H&S legislation
  • Co-ordinating external trade contractors.
  • Work at height and be able to move and lift heavy objects.
  • Work under pressure and to tight timescales.

Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations City and Guilds 2382-18
  • 5 years post qualification experience.
  • CMMS or similar asset management software.
  • Manging external trade contractors.
  • Previous supervisory or management skills.
  • Experience in multi-location workflows and prioritisation.
