Fibre Supervisor (FTTP Build)

Manpower UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fibre supervisor to join one of our clients established teams within the Aylesbury area.

Our client operates nationwide, covering 100% of the UK with a vision to be the service provider of choice for field engineering and managed services to the telecoms and the ISP industries, and they are getting there.

They have been working in the fibre arena for a number of years now and rarely does an opportunity like this come available with them, as they always promote and train within.

You will have demonstrable experience with a proven track record working in a networking engineering environment in a supervisor role.

Advanced knowledge of FTTP and FTTH technologies.

Operations and maintenance of metro/long-haul optical transmission Networks, DWDM and SDH or SONET technologies.

Sound ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fix faults up to resolution.

Ability to communicate fluently with the customers and should possess good customer service skills.

NRSWA Supervisor preferred.

It is desirable that you have had experience on blown fibre, mini trenching, poles (climbing & MEWP) and ladder work on MDU's.

Qualifications needed;

• NRSWA
• Open reach accredited pole certification
