Main Purpose of Role
To deliver work packages within projects to the scope and specification agreed with the customer within schedule and the total project cost, using company standard project management and project control processes.


Top 5 duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:
To lead delegated non-complex project(s) for the duration of the contract, including resource forecasting, delegation of activities, teamwork, conflict resolution, project communication and stakeholder management.
To ensure delegated project(s) meet annual revenue, profit and cash flow targets, including cost forecasting, invoicing and maintenance of the Project Status Report.
To ensure delegated project(s) meet their contractual requirements, including KPIs, delivery scope, CDRLs, variations, T&Cs and legislation/regulation compliance.
To ensure all aspects of project management process are established and administered professionally, including budget, schedule, risk, issue, opportunity, quality, safety, configuration control, security and resources.
To ensure appropriate project monitoring, control and reporting mechanisms are established and maintained, including gate reviews and project audits. This includes monthly and quarterly financial reporting.


Attributes and Experience
The post would suit someone seeking a career within Project Management.

Ideally, you will have experience of project management, delivery of non-complex contracts, preferably for a MoD customer and working knowledge of MoD procurement and project delivery practices. An understanding of military dockyard waterfront operations is desirable.
You should be able to build rapport and maintain relationships and have the ability to disseminate key information from any type of document. You should also have the ability to capture project information and present it in easy to understand formats.
We are also looking for the following:

* Strong organisational skills;
* An ability to be receptive to change;
* A proactive approach with the ability to work well in a team.
* Good communications and leadership skills, with the ability to interact successfully at a senior level with commercial and MoD customers.

Qualifications
You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering or management discipline.
You should also hold, or be capable of achieving, APMPQ qualification in project management or equivalent professional registration and IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.


Security Restrictions
The role will be in an environment regulated by trade control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services.
You may be required to meet DV security clearance, along with regular screening checks.
