We're looking for a dynamic, ambitious and eager individual to make a real impact by becoming our next Senior Project Engineer in the MEWSIC Project Team.


The difference the Senior Project Engineer will make
The MEWSIC Project Team have an exciting delivery profile for which the successful candidate will be directly supporting. The MEWSIC Senior Project Engineer will be assisting our Project Team to deliver the MEWSIC Project and support the on-going business winning under the MEWP Programme. As a Senior Project Engineer you will be expected to undertake the following:


To lead delegated non-complex sub-projects and tasks, including resource forecasting, delegation of activities and stakeholder management.
To ensure delegated sub-project and tasks meet revenue, profit and cash flow targets, including cost forecasting.
To develop and lead reporting requirements, including Risk, EVM, Change and KPIs.
To develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).To develop and maintain Schedules, including identification of Critical Paths & Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
To develop and maintain Risk and Opportunity Register.
To lead the EVM Analysis against Work Packages, including sub-contractor performance management and reporting.
To develop and maintain Resource Forecasts.
To ensure H,S&E aspects are considered and applied, this includes both Babcock employees and sub-contractors.
To provide support to bidding and other business winning activities.


Who we are looking for

Experience
You will need a proven track record in project delivery & controls in technical/engineering projects, domain knowledge and experience within Maritime Electronic Warfare is desirable but not essential.
You will also require good communications skills, with the ability to work successfully within teams and with customers.
Working knowledge of MoD procurement and project delivery practices is desirable.

Education and Qualifications
You will require an ONC or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering or management discipline.
You should also hold, or be capable of achieving, APMPQ qualification in project management or equivalent professional registration and IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
