Supply Chain Specialist / Buyer

An exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain / Purchasing specialist to join our market leading client based in Harlow. The successful candidate will be responsible for the liaison of Value-Added Service, buying products for the manufacturing plant. Our client is looking for an individual who has a clear understanding of how to buy from a manufacturing process. You will be responsible for managing the suppliers as well as the inventory.

This role is starting immediately on a temporary basis for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the maintenance of appropriate levels of inventory, fulfilling open sales orders and forecasting
• Forecasting and inventory review, product life cycle management
• Placement of initial PO's and monitor to alter or cancel inventory orders
• Sludge report review-write-offs, write-downs, returns
• Resolving sales/supplier related issues/questions and negotiate special returns
• Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
• Experience of buying from manufactures in the past
• Completes work under moderate supervision
• Identifies key issues and patterns from partial /conflicting data

• Have knowledge/experience of component buying
• Competent in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
