An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation! Our client, a blue chip FMCG company with brands such as Walls, Persil, Magnum and Knorr, are currently seeking a Senior Digital Platforms Manager (Oral Care) to be based in Blackfriars, London (Currently this role will be WFH). This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 months (Maternity Cover), working 36.25 hours, Monday-Friday. Ideally looking for a start date of ASAP. This role is paying between £65,000 - £72,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Categories within U/Lhave brough digital talent in the category to manage the key elements of the consumer experience with our brands digitally: from our own channels to Search or DDM (Data Driven Marketing), get our brands closer to the needs of people, personalise our offers, get experiences that bring our brands and their purpose alive.

About the Role

This role sits within the U/L Oral Care Category Digital team working across all brands at a global level. The team's vision is to help grow our brands and their purposes through creating and executing superior digital experiences- all of which contribute to the overall category ambition of improving our consumer's oral health & wellbeing. Working closely with the Category Digital Director, this person will help to deliver the 2021 strategy across Data, Personalisation & Immersive Experiences all executed via our owned digital platforms.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategic agendaforallbrands' websites (brand.com). This includes:
    • Managing an in-house team that oversees all front-end & content requirements
    • Developing, managing and executing the innovation roadmap for brand.com
    • Constantly optimising and evolving the category website eco-system and internal processes to maximise efficiency
    • Drive constant improvements to ensure best-in-class consumer experience on site
    • Managing and implementing wider U/L website initiatives
    • Develop new on-site personalisation capabilities

  • Lead the needs content creation for our brands to improveBrandsSEO performance.
    • Oversee search audit, identify opportunities.
    • Optimise content, create new (articles).
    • Develop and improve our visual content (imagery, video) to win on search too.

  • Leads the development of our category approach to Social Media:
    • Develop a consolidated view on the use of influencers, set KPIs to be used across all brands
    • Work closely with global brand teams to develop required social strategies; deliver pilot projects and ensure adherence to best practice/category strategy
    • Collect and consolidate learnings to be used cross-category

  • Performance management of our key platforms and search: evaluate user experience, identify gaps, set action plans for countries, brand teams or Digital team to improve.
  • Partner with other digital leads across key strategic projects including Search; eCommerce and Data
  • Work closely with the global brands across key digital projects and product launches. Ensuring that digital best practice is followed and aligned to the wider category strategy

  • Representing Oral Care within wider U/L digital initiatives - ensuring that our category needs are considered and adapting any requirements for appropriate implementation
  • Partnering with our Professional team (targeting dentists/dental professionals) to help drive key digital priorities within this 'B2B' space

Business skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in global/regional/local roles across Digital Marketing and Digital Strategy
  • Digital-first mindset with a strong understanding of the digital, e-commerce & social media landscape
  • Experience in working with different agencies across digital marketing, media and technology
  • Strong strategic thinking & stakeholder management skills
  • Previous experience in managing global teams and proven record of managing a team or at least 2 direct reports
  • Good understanding of website management and development
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and able to convert learnings and insights into action
  • Beauty & Personal Care or FMCG experience
  • B2B digital marketing experience a bonus
