Manufacturing Inspector

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 2 X Inspectors to join our client's site in Ellesmere Port. This role is full time temporary initially for 3 months. The rate of pay is £9.90 per hour working Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm 37.5 hours a week.

**All successful candidates are required to take a Drugs Screening before starting onsite**

Provide Quality Control Inspection support for our client Distribution Centre while partnering with Operational teams and leaders. You will ensure that quality in being maintained in all factors involved in DC operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections by shadowing DC Operatives
• Audit DC Operative adherence to Standard Operating Sheets (procedures)
• Gemba picking/packing/checking/labelling/dispatch DC processes
• Monitor and verify quality
• Highlight when process adherence does not conform to specification
• Collate issues & gaps where standard processes are not being followed
• Record observations
• Escalate details of deviations/missed process steps to Supervisors/Leadership team

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in quality control inspection field
• Knowledge of high volume manufacturing or distribution site
• Good analytical & observational skills
• Ability to use tools and techniques to perform inspections/audits e.g. Gemba experience
• Proactively and clearly communicate important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need
• Ability to remain independent while at DC site (detached & unbiased towards DC Operatives)
