Manpower is partnering with a leading homeware manufacturing company in their search for a Facilities Assistant. Covering their 4 West Yorkshire location, as Facilities Assistant you will play a key role in ensuring their offices and production facilities are safe and well-maintained.

Primarily based in Mirfield, your key responsibilities as Facilities Assistant will include:

  • General facilities support in both office and production environments
  • Undertaking routine checks of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, MEWP checks and portable appliance testing
  • Carrying out routine checks and liaising with contractors
  • Ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained
  • Reactive and proactive maintenance within the grounds, offices and production floor (non-machinery)

Due to the complexities of this role, it will suit an individual that possesses the following skills and experience:

  • 18th Edition of BS7671
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Inspection & Testing Qualification
  • Ideally facilities maintenance experience
  • Good problem-solving skills

This role covers 4 of the business' locations that are all within approximately 30 minutes of each other so there is not extensive travel required.

The working week is 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday, with the requirement to work 1 Saturday per month (this is paid at an overtime rate).
