About the role

Babcock International Group are seeking to appoint a Change Manager, to work within the recently established Naval Nuclear Engineering Function.

The role will support the development, implementation and future management of key Naval Nuclear Sector Change Programmes, centred on the Function's three pillars of Policy & Strategy, Capability, and Governance. As a Change Manager, the role will hold ownership of a series of change programmes which support the sector, and wider Group, in achieving their longer-term engineering strategies.

You will have ownership and delivery of engineering changes as part of the Sector's Engineering Strategy, as well as stakeholder management, including appropriate communications of changes. You will manage risks associated with changes. Support the ongoing development of the Engineering Function, including drafting, commenting and issuing of supporting documents and artefacts. You will support the development of the Engineering Community as well as supporting and developing communications associated with the Engineering Function.

This new and dynamic Directorate offers a friendly, flexible working environment, with further opportunities for development and progression within the Company.

What do I need to do the role?

You will be ideally qualified to degree level or higher in a STEM, Project Management or Business Management discipline such as PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM PMQ level. It is desirable for the post holder to be a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).

We would also like you to have experience in the following areas:

  • In-depth understanding of Change Management;
  • Ability to develop and deliver communications campaigns for a diverse audience;
  • In-depth understanding of Project and Programme Management Principles.
  • A proven background working in a highly regulated industry
  • In-depth understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion;
  • Systems engineering experience;

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.

  • The role can be based in Plymouth, Bristol or Clyde.
