A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip company are looking to recruit a Distribution Centre & Facilities Operative based in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, paying between £28-£29,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

This is a new role and requires an individual with strategic leadership qualities with previous experience in project/process management.

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting into and supporting the DC Operations Leader,

  • Lead new process change, E-commerce growing with Pan EU network
  • Lead G2M Activations and equipment sourcing to enable smooth on-boarding
  • Project Management and Operational Improvements required in the DC
  • 3P Production Management and Inbound Quality Standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that any IT and automated systems are accurate and up to date
  • Identify any DC improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space and propose new layouts to enhance operations and plan future capacity requirements
  • Review ways to reduce waste
  • Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and implement best practice warehousing principles, policies and processes
  • Ensure that machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency

Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous experience in project/process management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to establish logical practical solutions
  • Computer literate with good numeric skills
  • Strong Oracle and Excel knowledge would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations,
  • Embraces personal challenge with confidence
  • Is resilient, assertive, optimistic and open to change
  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together
  • High levels of motivation and action orientated
