What is the Role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Director to join the operations team, reporting to the Director of Regional Operations for the UK and Ireland. You will be expected to proactively lead the local team and will have full responsibility for the delivery of the business objectives covering the North of England with offices located at Leeds.

Working closely with the Director of Regional Operations for UK and Ireland, you will proactively lead a team for the sustainable growth of the business, where you will focus on safely delivering optimum performance in all set targets, customer satisfaction and create opportunities for innovation. As part of this role you will have a strong business acumen and knowledge of the regional market conditions to promote growth for our business. As a leader, you will contribute commercially and play a key role in winning and delivering profitable business to the highest service, quality and safety standards.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role will include; ensuring the profitability of a number of individual profit centres, managing individual contract overview and direction, managing business development, sales and order book. In addition, you'll be responsible for adjudicating and managing tenders including commercial risk exposure and delivering high standards of safety performance, managing finance, resources and administration and managing client development and liaison. You'll also be tasked with managing staff recruitment and achieving profit targets.

What Do I Need?

You will have a proven track record in a management capacity in the construction industry (Mechanical and Electrical Building Services), with emphasis on managing multiple contracts with end user clients, including budgetary and financial control. You'll also have the ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvements, while be able to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills.

An ambitious team-player, with exceptional commercial acumen, you'll motivate and drive your team towards successful results on behalf of your customers. You'll also embrace and deliver our Company values, with particular emphasis on delivering the highest levels of Health and Safety. Your qualifications should include a minimum ONC level in an engineering discipline and you will most likely currently be operating at senior management level in the M&E contracting industry.
