About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Stores/Warehouse Operative to join our Vehicle Engineering Sector based at Walsall. Babcock Vehicle Engineering is a market leading vehicle conversion specialist and manufacturer of armoured products. We have an excellent reputation for supplying customised products to the emergency services, civil service, military and other security focused organisations based in the UK and overseas.

Working within a team of 12 at our Facility in Walsall, you will manage goods-in, storing, controlling and issuing parts to support production in a timely and professional manner.

You will accurately book out parts, maintain the security of stores by ensuring that all gates remain locked and un-authorised persons within the stores area are challenged and if necessary reported to the Stores Manager. You will refer stock discrepancies and potential shortages to the Stores Manager and attend to requests from shop floor personnel in an appropriate timely and professional manner. You will also ensure that the stores area is kept clean tidy and organised at all times.

What do I need to do the role?
We are looking for people who have some Warehousing/Stores and Stock Control experience who are educated to a minimum of G.C.S.E. level. A current Fork-Lift licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
