Driver Trainer

We are recruiting a Driver Trainer with our client who are a large Transport Group based in Co Antrim

Great opportunity for an experienced HGV Driver Trainer to join a large & growing transport team, making a real impact on the quality of their service and driver development.

Suitable candidates will need experience as a HGV Driver in addition to a minimum 1 year Driver Training experience.

You role will involve working with drivers on a daily basis to up skill and improve their driving abilities, on boarding new drivers and carrying out driver assessments, ensuring that safe driving practice is at the forefront.

On top of inducting new staff, you will also support existing drivers in their development with yearly reviews and refresher training courses.

You will need to keep accurate records of training and compliance, monitoring driver performance, identifying areas to develop and review what impact training has had on performance.

Risk assessments and supporting with safety processes

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Driver Trainer in a Transport/ HGV operation
• HGV Driving license, preferably Class 1
• Strong health & safety knowledge
• Good communicator who can coach/ mentor Drivers
• CPC holder with excellent Tacho & driving hours knowledge
