Planning & Environmental Analyst (Offshore Wind)

Manpower Engineering are looking for an Offshore Planning & Environmental Analyst on an initial 7-8 month contract to be based in either London or Glasgow.

You will be:

Accountable for supporting and developing strategies for the P& E department in relation to policy issues and be able to lobby on issues that could have an impact on our end client financially on different stakeholder levels.

Responsible for the coordination and submission of consultation responses

Identify and implement engagement strategies for influencing key stakeholders, across government, NGOs and all other relevant stakeholders in planning and environment matters that could include:

o Environmental policy including policies relevant to habitats and species (designated and non-designated)
o Planning policy development at a national, regional and local level (including onshore and the marine environment)
o Associated planning, consenting, and licensing issues for renewables developments.

Provide input to high quality briefing material and presentations on planning and environmental issues for our end clients senior management and executive for use in stakeholder interactions, parliamentary inquiries, and other forums.

You will be:

Educated to degree level or equivalent in environmental/planning policy or other relevant subject with at least 3 years relevant PQE.
Good knowledge of planning and environmental regimes and how they are regulated and influenced by EU/UK legislation
Maintain a detailed knowledge of current and developing legislation in relation to planning and environmental policy in UK and ROI
