Microwave Installation Rigger / Team Leader - Glasgow & Stirling

The Role

The Microwave Installation Rigger / Team Leader is responsible for the installation of microwave equipment and associated ancillaries. To ensure the safety and quality of site activity are in accordance with company policies. Hold knowledge of rigging operations, including the knowledge of the use and application of rigging tools. All activity is completed as directed by the Field services manager.

Daily Tasks

Operational Support |Projects Support |Fault Rectification | Product Training |Health & Safety

• Supporting field installation activities
• Manipulating rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support equipment
• Lifting, hauling, installation of the antenna systems, cabling and interface support steelwork
• Perform site surveys and label WAH installed kit
• Share knowledge with installers 3rd parties

The Person

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, experience, skills and attributes

• Rigging Qualifications NARC qualified
• Working at height (medical certified)
• LOWER / PUWER certified
• Asbestos awareness trained
• Advanced tower climber certified
• Tower rescue / First aid at height certified
• RF Awareness
• Lifting and rigging certification - capstan winch

A proven track record in the following areas is essential

• Experience in Mobile Telecommunications Industry
• Knowledge of radio principles
• Trained implementation of RAMs and control measures

• Team player, interactive & keen, can-do attitude, smart and conscientious.
• Available to work weekends and stay away from home
• Good time management
• Excellent interpersonal skills - also able to professionally liase with customers.
