Maintenance Planner

My Client is a world Class Manufacturing site & a supply chain recycling agent too. We are currently supporting the introduction of a Maintenance Planner within the EMRA Organisation. The primary role of the EMRA Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through planning; EHS, coordination of parts, machine time and labour requirement.

What will your day look like?

Developing adequate maintenance plans in accordance with the engineers (reliability, engineering, process engineers etc.)

Plan and schedule preventive maintenance work

Review and screen work order flow (close loop from feedback on work orders)

Ensure availability of spares, tools, documentation and other resources as needed

Lead the maintenance planning meeting with Production Teams

Partner with maintenance and engineering to plan "big downtime" events

Maintain and manage work backlog ensuring down time on equipment is kept to a minimum

What do you need to succeed?

Mechanical/electrical background

Work with and understand technical issues that arise & also minimise risk to downtime

Essential craft knowledge to estimate man-hours and materials

You are a team player who can also adapt & work on own initiative and prioritise quickly

Work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

Excellent communication skills

Well organised

Strong analytic skills

SAP knowledge and the assistance to drive site wide CMMS training

Advantageous:

• HNC or above in an Engineering discipline
• Contractor Management experience
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• SAP knowledge and the assistance to drive site wide CMMS training

This role is offered on a permanent basis, working days, but there could be requirement for some flexibility when supporting other shifts.
