We are recruiting an Assistant Manager Electrical Engineer / Statutory Officer to work for our valued public sector client.You will manage the delivery of designated capital projects from completion of the project brief through detailed design to commissioning and final handover. To provide professional advice and support on electrical engineering matters, design standards, technical requirements and alternative methods of construction and design in order to achieve optimum cost effectiveness to design solutions. Main duties and responsibilities:To provide specalised advice on electrical engineering matters, design standards and technical requirement Formulate fee bid lists, recommend on appointment of external consultants Assessing tenders Provide regular project reports and specialised technical reports To act as point of contractors throughout the delivery of the project Appoint and manage contractors Essential requirements:Technical degree or equivalent level of experience in specialist areas of engineering or building disciplines. Competent in the use of AutoCAD Significant experience in a relevant estate related engineering role including project and staff management experience Experience of NEC forms of contract Experience of electrical design, Statutory inspection specification writing, assessing tenders and running projects and statutory inspection contracts on site. This is a temporary position for 3 months, the hourly rate is £14.33. References and satisfactory DBS check is required.Please apply today with an up to date CV.
