Senior Project Planner
Site based - Nationwide Travel
Competitive salary with car allowance, plus travel and subsistence allowance

About the role:
Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Senior Project Planner to produce robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of the projects.

Main responsibilities also include liaising with the Project/Construction Manager and Site Engineers to ensure that the programme keeps abreast of any changes whilst ensuring that it is communicated effectively both internally and externally.

Further responsibilities;
* Produce detailed trackers that can substantiate progress measurements on a regular basis and retain these for analysis on future bids.
* Mentor and support less experienced members of the planning team on the technical aspects of programming.
* Develop and maintain the PRIMAVERA P6 Planning software, calculating progress monetarily
* Interface with National Grid. Be POC and lead for Babcock for discussions around planning activity.
* Administration responsibility for Planning software

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing power sector for a global engineering organisation, and with a potential career path to management.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have proven experience in a project planning role, with the ability to develop and maintain PRIMAVERA P6 planning software.

You must also confidently interface with the client demonstrating competency and act as the POC for all Babcock planning activity for project.

A power industry background would be desirable; alternatively civils, utilities, and rail or construction sectors are preferred.

What else do I need to know?
This role is site based working on project sites across Scotland and England. You will be expected to work away from home for most of the week for the duration of the contract.
