Location: Working from home/Dublin City Centre
Our client, a global insurance company based in Dublin, is looking for a Customer Service Agent with 1 years experience in the insurance industry to join the team on a 12 month contract.
Customer Service Agent
This position will be in the Customer Service/Underwriting Support team within the Operations & Service function. The role will primarily focus on supporting and servicing Accident & Health business SME and Financial Lines
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt & accurate support to new and existing customers by phone, email and post. Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services where opportunity arises based on customer needs. Ensure all sales enquires are fully maximised.
- Investigate and resolve routine customer enquiries at first point of contact, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service to customers.
- Responsible for actively ensuring the retention of the customer base which includes promoting policy benefits to existing customers.
- Provide Admin support to A&H & FL Underwriting; issuing documentation, processing new and renewal premiums within strict time limits. Manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications
- Provide support to enable monitoring and resolving 'out of hours' telephone messaging service including email accounts and call back functions.
- Preparation of data and processing into accounting system. Reconciliation of data against month end system generated reports.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standards, policies and procedures regarding customer service. Maintain Company standard during all interactions.
- Participate in developing and recommending changes to existing methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer service department as a whole.
- Provide back-up support to other team members.
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum one year's experience working in the insurance industry
- Hold a recognised MCC qualification or be working towards a recognised qualification
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
