About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Test Engineer to join our commissioning group Combat Systems team. You will conduct Commissioning activities. Inclusive but not exhaustive of Testing, diagnostics & defect rectifications, whilst maintaining safety, time and specification requirements as dictated by the business need. Ensuring close liaison with all key stake holders throughout.

You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, calibration and commissioning of submarine systems and equipment. Specific areas of responsibility will include researching specifications, compiling test documentation and conducting fault diagnosis and system commissioning.

What do I need to do the role?


*Recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC with a minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering discipline (Or relevant equivalence).

*Health, Safety & Environment

What else do I need to know?

This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.
