About the role

Babcock has been selected as the Metropolitan Police Service's (Met Police) learning partner, working with a consortium of four London-based universities - Anglia Ruskin University, Brunel University London, University of East London and University of West London - to support the UK's largest police service with the training of its new officer recruits from 2021.

The partnership with the Met Police will last until at least 2028, with a possibility to extend for a further two years, and is set at a maximum contract value of £309 million, dependent on the number of recruits trained under the programme.

The HEI Liaison Manager will be paramount in building our relationships with our 4 University (HEI) subcontract partners and will develop and implement an effective communications and engagement strategy. You will work across the contract to understand and distil the key challenges and issues whilst supporting the heads of departments to drive forward and deliver innovative solutions.

You will be responsible for leading individual HEI contract review meetings, ensuring all reporting and KPIs are completed as well as working with the Supply Chain team to ensure all contractual matters are managed in a timely fashion.

As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK we also offer a collaborative working environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

What do I need to be able to do the role?

You will need to be degree or HND educated whilst also having had experience working with or within a Higher Educational Institution (HEI). You will be commercially astute and business focussed, with an ability to provide strategic direction.

We would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

* Extensive account / relationship management experience.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving project and performance targets.
* Competent at interpreting a wide range of financial and non-financial information and the ability to use this information to determine approach.
* Understanding of how to partner with diverse stakeholders to build trust and achieve results.

What else do I need to know?

* All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage.
* The role is on a permanent basis.
* Location can be flexible with regular travel across London.
