Trainee Lifting Equipment Examiner
Location: Notthingham, Nottinghamshire, GB, NG13 8HA

About the role

We're looking to recruit a Trainee Equipment Examiner to inspect, control, certify and calibrate a range of manual lifting and other specialist equipment including hoists, shackles and slings which are used across the Babcock Power Business. Full training will be provided on all equipment and relevant qualifications will be attained during the training period.

You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring all equipment is tracked via the safety system for all goods in and out, maintaining safety and that all certification paperwork is issued prior dispatch. You will also support all operational projects throughout the UK with site visits to ensure equipment is kept in a safe and serviceable condition and within all its certification / calibration requirements.

What do I need to do the role?

This is an entry level position into Babcock Power business and could suit a School or College leaver looking for their first step into a position of this type that offer a full training programme.

You must be able to work on your own initiative, demonstrating a thorough and methodical approach with an eye for detail. A flexible approach to work and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

You will demonstrate a willingness to undergo training to obtain the necessary qualifications.

This role is working within a workshop / site environment so an understanding on Manual Handling would be an advantage.

What else do I need to know?

There may be occasional travel to other sites across the UK which may require an overnight stays so a valid UK driving licence would be preferred.
