As the HR Advisor, you will support the Regional HR Manager in the delivery of the Hawk Transformation Programme. Restructuring activity will include TUPE, redundancy matters e.g. calculation of redundancy figures, identifying pools, redundancy selection criteria and validation etc. Changes to T&Cs, recruitment, collective TU consultation and individual consultation, support the disciplinary and grievances process as required, all under the intense scrutiny of the customer.

Whilst there is a degree of flexibility to the role in terms of working arrangements, there will be an expectation that you will be present on site to support line management and employees and attend meetings as required.

You will provide advice and support to management on a range of restructuring matters as mentioned previously. In addition, you will be required to diligently follow the transformation plan, lead on consultation activity and produce management reports on progress.

Main Tasks

  • Support the Senior HR Advisor in all transformation activities e.g. TUPE, redundancy, recruitment, consultation etc.
  • Work in partnership with Line Managers to ensure the Transformation Programme is adhered to.
  • Identify probable risks linked with employee relations issues and proactively advise to ensure outcomes are both appropriate and managed effectively.
  • Foster a professional working relationship with local Trade Unions and management to allow for effective employee involvement and consultation.
  • Ensure effective communications throughout the transformation programme e.g. minutes, announcements, presentations, confirmation letters etc.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need demonstrable and practical experience of supporting change activities and a relevant qualification relating to HR.

Would also like you to hold experience in all or some of the following:

  • Experience of operational day-to-day HR Activities at a HR Advisor level or above.
  • Experience of working with Tus
  • Experience of redundancies and TUPE
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and proprietary HR MIS

What else do I need to know?

You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role. Many of our employees work flexibly in many different ways, including homeworking and flexible start and finish times. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need. We cannot promise to give you exactly what you want, but we do promise not to judge you for asking.
