Global Real Estate Regional Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a Global Real Estate Regional Lead, to work from the office in Newbury. This is a full-time, permanent role to start ASAP

We are seeking a GRE Regional Lead to join the team in Newbury, Berkshire. You will be responsible for the operational leadership of the GRE delivery team within the EMEA region, focused on the provision of safe working environments for all GRE staff, contractors, customers, and partners utilizing the office portfolio within the region.

The GRE team is responsible with operational interface with landlords, agents, and other key service providers across the region.

Role

• Responsible for developing Real Estate plans consistent with established real estate policies, location strategies, and standards
• Work with the VP GRE and Head of Planning & Development to optimize the GRE portfolio across the region, reduce costs and support the overarching company and GRE strategy and goals
• Research the regional lease management and property markets in conjunction with the Head of Lease Management, for new and innovative lease management options and services, identifying those which may be of value to GRE and worthy of investigation
• Provide input on budget planning for the region each Financial Year
• Work with the Head of Planning & Development to identify, anticipate, validate, and plan real estate changes and collaborate with GRE SLT colleagues and business stakeholders to discuss space utilization, business growth forecasting & space requirements
• Support the lease Transaction Manager to engage with local commercial Real Estate Agencies to identify and source new properties that fit company evolving property portfolio requirements within the region
• Work with the Head of Planning & Development and the Lease Transaction Manager in the identification of IPP space
• Work with the Regional Delivery Leads to plan and manage changes to the operational property portfolio across the regions
• Work with other company functions (HR, Finance, IT, Legal & Tax Team) ) and service providers to support GRE asset retirals, commissioning and decommissioning of sites as required, seeking available tax rebates in countries where applicable with appropriate book keeping as required and handling of Audits from a GRE perspective
• Monitor and model against the defined GRE regional KPIs and Performance Management metrics
• Set directions for and manages the activities of the regional GRE delivery team
• Develop and drive individual and team performance through training, mentoring, and career development

What achievements should you have so far?

Relevant and similar experience of at least 10 years within industry is highly required

Strong knowledge and experience with planning, managing, and delivering the strategic and operational changes to the regional property portfolio driven by the GRE portfolio strategy, budget, and local operational factors

Ability to maintain accurate and organized project status reporting on portfolio consolidations, site re-sizing, relocations, and follow-up on action items

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility with other teams and senior business contacts

Exposure to a tech company would be an advantage

A degree in a relevant subject is desirable
