Role Profile

Manpower are recruiting for Class 1 LGV Drivers in Magor, Wales. Carrying out store deliveries whilst following socially distanced conditions in line with government guidelines regarding Covid-19.

  • £30,737.20 per annum basic (with no uplifts)
  • £12.85 per hour
  • Working 5 out of 7 (bank holidays included)
  • Overtime available
  • £5.00 weekly bonus (paid as Christmas bonus in December)

Shifts Available:

  • Monday to Friday - Shift start times between 20:00 - 22:00
  • Tuesday to Saturday - Shift start times between 01:00 - 03:45

Additional premiums:

  • 0.75p per hour - For hours between 18:00 - 06:00
  • £17.13 per hour - overtime for 50hrs+ per week
  • £17.13 per hour - per extra shift
  • £17.13 per hour - For Saturday working
  • £16.13 per hour - For Sunday working

You will be delivering to stores from the South Midlands to West Wales and across London to the Kent area, with an average of 2 drops and pickups per day using Tri-Axle Box Trailers as well as Curtainsiders.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers' products, servicing the General Merchandise sector
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately, and that use of any point of delivery technology is used with attention to detail
  • Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times
  • A flexible approach to working patterns and start times as dictated by the needs of the business, and willing to spend nights away from base when required
  • Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class 1 licence
  • Must have a valid Driver CPC
  • Must hold Digital tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
  • Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
  • Outgoing and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge
