Sales Executive Skills Trainer

£37,000 - £40,000

Based in Nottingham

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual with relevant vocational qualifications to be part of a team that delivers training in the Sales Industry with particular focus on Sales Executive skills, to achieve national standards as part of an Apprenticeship standard.

The role is to deliver both face to face and virtual training. This is an exciting position working with major employers within the Professional Services Industry.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and develop to a high standard of training and underpinning knowledge programmes which are responsive to students and employers needs to both groups and individuals as part of work related programmes.
  • Work to agreed caseload targets whilst liaising with the Strategic Project Manager.
  • Work towards the development of a broader curriculum in work based learning.
  • Liaise with other staff and local employers regarding training initiatives.
  • Maintain and communicate the qualification aims, progress and delivery targets to your line manager to ensure the timely completion of qualifications. To plan via Individual Learning Plans and Reviews (ILPs/ILRs).
  • Visit students at agreed intervals to ensure progression of learning aims and agree appropriate actions.
  • Be able to delivery successful virtual sessions to ensure engagement and progression across a cohort of learners.
  • To develop best practice in delivery including electronic and paper based portfolios, evidence capture and learning materials.
  • Liaise with other staff and employers to enable and encourage student achievement, progression and retention.
  • Support students through recording, tracking, documenting and discussion for progress of individual study via electronic portfolio systems.
  • To act as a personal tutor and mentor in the workplace.
  • To keep up-to-date with development of standards and general developmental and professional issues relating to the delivery of learning.
  • To maintain appropriate standards of student behaviour.
  • Be prepared to deliver under any discipline you are experienced and competent in.

The Person:

  • You will have occupational experience within the industry (Sales)
  • Recent and relevant experience of delivery and assessment of sales related disciplines as part of apprenticeships.
  • You are required to hold an appropriate assessor/teaching qualification.
  • Experience or capability to deliver one or more Functional Skills would be highly desirable.
  • You will be required to use your expertise to provide a high quality learning environment and work closely with the Product team to ensure this delivers the strategy of the program.
  • The ideal candidates will be required to train in both a virtual and face to face environment using up to date technology.
  • Experience of delivering the following would be expected, Sales, Planning & Preparation, Negotiating, Closing Sales, Customer Engagement and Commercial & Financial Acumen.
  • This post carries a caseload of between 35 -40 students dependent on the standard.
