An exciting opportunity has arisen for an R&D Transition Support to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, to be based remotely (UK) for the entirety of the contract, with some occasional travel to Colworth Science Park in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, MK44 (just a 40-minute drive from Milton Keynes) once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week, paying up to £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

This role will be an integral part of the R&D team working on separation and will work across several workstreams including (but not restricted to) Knowledge Transfer, Innovation, Digital & Technology and R&D Ways of Working (R&D Playbook).

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge transfer within and across IT systems
  • Be accountable for elements of day-to-day project delivery
  • Maintain project plans and align local plans to the central Programme plan
  • Build and maintain positive working relationship with project teams and other key stakeholders
  • Identifying and transferring information/documents/reports in collaboration with R&D teams
  • Collation and formatting of input for the R&D Playbook
  • Maintaining the plans for the workstreams
  • Support the workstream leads in managing day-to-day transition tasks such as completing tracking documents
  • Completing the change impact assessment to ensure timely delivery of required tasks

Key Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a background in R&D, project management or information management.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer/management would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Must have experience in supporting multiple projects (at least 3 at a time).
  • Must be comfortable in managing different cultures and dealing with peers and stakeholders across the world.
  • Experience in managing timelines/project networks.
  • Experience in using numerous information management IT tools & systems, particularly project management systems.
  • Organisational skills to support the delivery of a programme.
  • Analytical skills to search for relevant & required information.
  • People capability to collaborate and influence.
