An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment / HR Consultant to join the Manpower Team working for one of our clients in Barnwood, Gloucester. This role will initially be home-based with ad-hoc visits to site, with a view of returning to office-working gradually this year (free parking is available onsite). The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic and hard-working team of 4, one of whom is also based onsite in Gloucester.
This role is to be offered on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week between Monday-Friday), however applications from those looking to work 30+ hours per week will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
*Administration: To include payroll administration, new starter set up, processing of holiday requests, sickness certifications, leavers process, etc.
*Recruitment: Telephone screening candidates, arranging interviews with hiring managers, confirming offers.
*Onboarding: Processing security vetting applications, ensuring all compliance documents meet legal and company standards.
*HR support with the management of all temporary staff including inductions, absence and performance management, holiday scheduling, etc.
*Develop a broader understanding of the appropriate use of disciplinary and grievance procedure.
*Informal and formal meetings with client and temporary staff regarding any issues, concerns or queries.
*Providing a point of professional contact for the Manpower employees onsite.
*Driving Manpower engagement programme with high performing individuals onsite.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
*Demonstrable administrative skills.
*Confident in the use of Word/Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly.
*Good verbal and written communication skills (to employees, candidates, and a variety of the client's stakeholders).
*Able to work independently as well as in a team.
*Desire to work in a fast-paced role with ever changing priorities and deadlines.
Non-Essential Skills and Experience:
*Experience of recruiting and supporting temporary workers.
