Our Client supply quality plant machinery solutions for the waste management, recycling & forestry sectors & are currently looking for an Engineering Workshop Supervisor . You will be joining an existing team of mechanics, carrying out diagnostics, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of heavy plant machinery. (Shredders & Screeners).

About the role:

This main purpose of this new role is to supervise our Workshop Engineering Department to ensure safe and efficient utilisation of the team members, plant and equipment. The role holder will drive planning of work, together with quality control for the maintenance, service and repair of their rental fleet and customer owned equipment.

A bit about you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background in mechanical engineering.
  • A relevant qualification teamed with knowledge of heavy plant machinery & its associated complications in order to support the smooth running of the Department.
  • You already have in a similar role and can demonstrate extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including technical product knowledge.
  • Electrical/hydraulic and welding/fabrication skills would also be a distinct advantage.
  • You hold a valid driver's licence.
  • A dynamic leader with a can-do attitude, a willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
  • Great team working & planning skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills to support the Team & drive success.

Must live within a 40 minute drive from Knutsford, Cheshire.

Salary is up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience.

Hours: 7.30am to 5.00pm (with approx 1 in 4 Saturdays)

Overtime: Paid outside core hours and Saturday.

KPI Bonus Scheme

Holidays: 2, days (inc of bank holidays)
