Cost Estimator

Manpower are looking for a Costing Estimator with experience in the utilities industry for a 3 month (Probable Extension) contract role.

This role is OUTSIDE of IR35 and can be remote however the project is based in London

The aim of the role is to generate Cost Estimates for future engineering work scopes on Gas Terminals and liaising with the construction and design engineering team.

EXPERIENCE

You should have experience in a utility (preferably gas) based role and come from a mathematical background.

With a good knowledge of Project Control software such as Primavera P6, you should also be degree qualified.

It would also be advantageous to have financial and analytical experience and awareness of PM principles such as Prince 2.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate basis of estimate with the engineering team.

Interpretation and analysis of engineering drawings for cost estimating.

Review technical requirements, specifications, and customer contracts for information.

Collate, analyse, and interpret data for estimating purposes.

Current market knowledge, material, and labour costs.

Attend and participate in project meetings and training workshops.
