Materials & Purchasing Manager
£25,000 - £30,000
Based in Alfreton
Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm (can be flexible on hours)
My client is specialist supplier to the rail, construction, demolition, mining and recycling industries, they provide repairs on certain types of machinery etc. They are a small company based in Alfreton, and after a recent re-structure are looking for an experienced materials & parts purchasing manager to join the team.
The role:
- Stores/inventory management
- Managing supply chain process
- Purchasing
- Managing purchase orders / logging in goods received
- Ordering parts from global suppliers
- Maintaining relationships with trusted suppliers - negotiating best rates etc.
- Able to use forklift truck to offload pallets (not afraid to get hands dirty and help out)
The Person:
- Ideally with have a background in rail, construction, demolition, mining and recycling industries
- Skilled on Excel
- Experienced in managing lead times/supply chain
- 85% of role managing needs of engineers for their repairs & upgrades
- Keeping updates of stock
23 days holiday - 8 bank holidays
(Only 20 days are flexible as they close from 24th Dec - Jan 3rd)
