Are you an experienced Salesperson currently working within the Freight Forwarding industry? Perhaps you have experience elsewhere within Freight Forwarding (eg Imports) and are interested in moving into a sales focused role?

A long-established privately-owned family run logistics business are looking to recruit an Inside Sales Executive to be based at Feltham.

Formed more than 70years ago, this Freight Forwarder really do believe in looking after and rewarding their staff - which has led to a great track record of retaining and developing staff. They have more than one member of staff who has been working for the company more than 30 years! (Indeed, they are still doing business with their first company that they started working with 70yrs+ ago!)

This role is an Inside Sales role - cold calling is not part of the job description! This role is responding to inbound emails and calls from customers / potential customers. (As this role develops there may be the requirement to attend the occasional client meeting face to face).

You must have Freight Forwarding experience to be considered for this role - either currently in a sales role or elsewhere in Freight Forwarding - either way you will need to be working in the industry and understand the terminology to be considered for this role!

This role is a perfect example of the phrase "people buy from people". You must be able to demonstrate to your customers / potential customers why they should buy from you and not the competition. You must be able to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with external (and internal) stakeholders. Naturally your customer services levels will be first class too.

Your main duties include:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and colleagues across the UK offices to generate new opportunities
  • Qualify customer enquiries and correctly record all activity on CRM system
  • Asist with company sales & marketing strategy relating to continual business development
  • Promote products and services to clients
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure you are maximising profits
  • Provide high level of customer service / customer care - including after sales
  • Develop sales opportunities

The company have clients around the world (including the US & China).

Salary & Package:

£30-35K basic

Bonus + Commission scheme

Pension Scheme (5% - 14% contributions)

23 days + Bank Holidays (increases with longevity of service)

Discretionary extra day off over the Christmas period

Contracted working hours 9am - 5.30pm (with a degree of flexibility)
