About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Decision Support Analyst to join the team, in an Army HQ embedded role dealing with the delivery of coordinated analysis to support basic fleet management functions, both internally to Babcock and to the Authority.

Utilising recognised fleet management processes and complex data analysis, you will deploy best practice techniques to support the Authority and the business to ensure the right vehicles, are in the right fleet, in the right place, in the right configuration and at the right time, in order to support the customer's operational and training needs.

Main responsibilities include:

Be a Readiness Subject Matter Expert (SME) delivering on behalf of the HQ Field Army, the Army Operating Order - GEM annually and respond expediently to the requests for information and assistance that are related to readiness for the Field Army.
Deliver effective fleet management analysis as a function; enabled through enhanced situational awareness, data analysis, drawing salient conclusions, providing depth to understanding, and adding value to the Army's decision support capabilities.
Providing analysis and reporting to support fleet allocation, option, change, optimisation and priority recommendations, against the four fleet construct (basic unit, training uplift, sustainment and operational fleets).
Provision of management information and reports, using a centralised data source, for both internal and customer consumption.
Manage the relationship and expectations of key internal, customer and supplier stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity working on a fast paced and busy Fleet management function, for a major organisation that will have a direct impact in assisting the British Army with their Fleet optimisation.

What do I need to do the role?

The successful candidate is likely to come from a background in military equipment/vehicles, or possess commercial experience; ideally within data analysis/decision support/information exploitation.

You will also possess the following skills:
* Analytically minded with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations and produce reports
* Excellent IT skills, in particular strong Excel and PowerPoint
* Able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders in the British Army
* Ability to problem solve and take pro-active steps where necessary in order to assist the customer
