Web Designer

Dropbox is now a Virtual First company, which means work outside of an office will be the primary experience for all employees. This position is for a key global project in Dropbox and is an initial 6 month contract with the possibility for extension.


Short Term Improvements:

  • Concept and design solutions focused on short-term improvements to Dropbox customer support web pages using existing web ecosystem
  • Redesigning how support entitlements are explained to users on Dropbox customer support web pages
  • Deliver designs for implementation by the Dropbox development team on both web and mobile surface

Long Term Improvements:

  • Deliver in coordination with the Dropbox CX team a 3 year roadmap strategy for delivery of web support across surfaces through discovery activities, including reviewing existing research, documentation, and analytics, interviewing stakeholders, auditing the existing experience, and reviewing competitive and inspirational experiences that will inform the long-term vision for support at Dropbox. This will be applicable for both web and mobile surfaces
  • Adhere to Dropbox design and branding standards
  • Deliver a range of concepts that unify the web support experience and address customer and internal Dropbox pain points. This will be done through sketches and rapid, low-fidelity prototypes, and refined iteratively based on feedback from the Dropbox team
  • Deliver designs and prototypes that illustrate the long-term vision for Dropbox customer support and a roadmap for implementation

As part of this work you will engage in:

  • Designing user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches to hi-fidelity pixel perfect mockups
  • Validating ideas and designs using split A/B tests and product performance
  • Measuring recently released features to establish benchmarks and to identify potential areas of improvement
  • Creating rapid prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
  • Highly detailed communication of design principles + direction, as well as design specifications to engineers
  • Designing for the web and understanding how to apply both form and function within it while maintaining simplicity
