Welder

As a welder you will work on high quality fabrications utilising sheet metal to produce a range of bespoke products. All Welders will work with co-workers, supervisors, engineers and managers to ensure that the results of their activities meet the standards and the expectations of our customers.

Main duties


  • To weld from visual drawn instructions, alongside working with sheet metal machinery.
  • Welders will be proficient in all types of welding for sheet metal fabrications.
  • To maintain good housekeeping standards at all times following the 5S Criteria.
  • To obtain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforcing its use in the wearing of ceramic textile overalls, respiratory protection, gloves and anti-static boots.
  • To work within the company management system, processes and procedures, to ensure compliance with all standards, legislation, governance and specifications.
  • To ensure the quality, environmental, health and safety policies are understood and where required the objectives, targets and key performance indicators are measured, evaluated and reported to demonstrate continuous improvement of the management system.
  • To promote and use the philosophy of reduce, re-use or recycle of all wastes, materials and products.
  • To ensure all activities reduce or eliminate pollution to the land, sea and air.

    • Essential criteria:

    • Previous experience of working within a production / manufacturing setting
    • Material handling experience
    • Welding / fabricating experience
    • Good numeracy and literacy skills

    This is a temporary, ongoing position.

    You must be able to commit to flexible working shifts:

    • Days are 7.30am to 4.00 pm, with a 3.00 pm finish on a Friday.
    • Mornings are 6.00 am - 2.00 pm.
    • Afternoons are 2.00 pm-10.00 pm.
