We currently have an opportunity for an Administrator working within Babcock Mission Systems to join us on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave.
Defence Systems Technology (DST) is a business unit within the Marine and Technology Division of Babcock International. DST supports a wide range of exciting design, manufacture, Equipment support projects, working with a number of key clients both domestically and internationally. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant rate and as a result of contract awards; we are currently recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team.
The difference the Administrator will make
You will undertake technical, specialised and non-standard administrative support to the business, including but not limited to;
* Running of various reports
* Travel Booking
* Diary Management
* Meeting minutes
* Providing cover for the Combined Weapons Equipment Workshop (CWEW) International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Reception on a rotational basis
* Specialist tasks
* Administrative support to Programmes / Projects
* Visitor bookings
Who we're looking for
You will have significant experience in an administration role or will have completed an apprenticeship in Business and Administration level two.
Skills and attributes
You should be self-motivated with good organisational skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. We are looking for a team Player with the ability to work using own initiative, a strong Health & Safety ethic, good communication skills across all levels of the business and a basic knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) would be advantageous.
Education and Qualifications
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / equivalent or suitable alternative
If you do not have significant experience in an administration role you will have completed an apprenticeship in Business and Administration level 2.
