About the role:
Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit an Isolation Planner to produce and publish isolation plans for all Rail Systems Alliance works and isolation documentation to meet Network Rails timescales. Isolation plans and associated documentation must comply with the Electrified Lines Working Instructions and applicable Network Rail standards.

Main responsibilities:
* Submit Isolation applications to Network Rail within agreed time scales.
* Prepare Isolation Detail Forms (IDF) for all works.
* Liaise with Possession Planning Managers to ensure all OLE Isolations meet the requirements for all planned works, ensuring staff protection arrangements are in place for all work.
* Problem solving at weekly meetings with the Network Rail Isolation Planning Team and all other OLE Isolation providers to resolve any potential work limit conflicts which may arise during discussions.
* Be capable of working alone in carrying out all of the above duties.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have a good knowledge of the following:
* Electrified Lines Working Instructions and isolation planning standards.
* Methods of working for isolation planning and the taking of isolations.
* Electrical feeding arrangements.
* Network Rail Isolation Diagrams & Instructions and familiar with NR/L2/ELP/27237 - OLE working instructions.
* Rulebook, Sectional Appendix, Weekly Operation Notices and other relevant documentation.

You will also hold (PTS) Personal Track Safety, and Nominated Person certification.

A current and valid UK driving licence is an essential requirement to this role as occasional travel to site will be needed to be undertaken

What else do I need to know?
This role is office and site based covering rail sites across Scotland. A company vehicle will be provided when required to travel.

Working hours are Monday to Friday office hours, you will be expected to work the very odd Saturday and night shift but very few and far between.
